The month of March is known internationally (U.S., U.K., and Australia) as Women’s History Month. It was created to correspond with socialist-inspired International Women’s Day which takes place on the 8th of March. Historically, this day is tied to resistance movements of white women, although women from other nations have organized events and actions on the day to heighten awareness around social issues.

The African National Women’s Organization’s #ArrestCPS Steering Committee will use the month of March to highlight and expose the State-sponsored kidnapping of African children by organizing protests, community meetings and fundraisers.

Our primary objectives during the month are to raise awareness, recruit people into local committees and raise money that will support African women who have been left defenseless by the State.
